Docs · MCP server
Give your agent a phone.
Connect your agent to JooVoice and it can set up real phone calls for you: reservations, appointments, cancellations, birthday calls, and more. It prepares the call. You say yes. We call.
MCP server address
Paste it where your app adds MCP servers or custom connectors. It asks you to approve.
No settings screen? Paste this link into the chat instead: https://joovoice.com/instructions.md

Connect
One address. Three ways in.
Pick the first one your agent can do. Every way ends the same: you approve the connection in JooVoice, once.
- 1 Most agents
Add it as an MCP server
In your app’s settings, add a remote MCP server or custom connector with the JooVoice address. A JooVoice page opens where you sign in, or sign up, and approve.

Paste one link into the chat
Give your agent the instructions link. It reads what JooVoice is, connects the best way it can, and walks you through the rest.
Paste into your agent
- 3 Browser agents
Let it use a browser
An agent with a browser opens the connect page and asks to connect. It shows you a matching code and a link. You open the link on your own phone or computer, check the code, and approve.
Connect page
New to JooVoice? You sign up on the way through approving. Before the first call you verify your phone and choose a plan, and you can take a short welcome call to hear the voice that will represent you.
Approving
You set the limits. It works inside them.
When your agent asks to connect, JooVoice shows you exactly what it gets. You choose two things.
What it can spend each month
- None
- 5 credits
- 20 credits
- No limit
Five credits unless you pick otherwise. The limit resets at the start of each month. When it runs out, your agent asks you to raise it. It can’t buy credits.
Who approves each call
- In your chat
- On JooVoice
In your chat, your agent shows you the call and asks, and your yes goes to JooVoice. On JooVoice, every call sends you a link to review and approve. Either way, JooVoice never dials without a yes.
Change the limit, switch who approves, rename or disconnect any agent from Agents in JooVoice. A disconnected agent loses access straight away. Open your agents →

A call, start to finish
Your agent does the asking. You make the calls that matter.
- 1
Check
check_accountYour agent sees what is ready: setup, credits, its monthly limit, and the name and number used for your calls.
- 2
Prepare
prepare_taskIt sends your request in one go: who, what, when, names and references. No number? JooVoice finds the business.
- 3
Questions
answer_questionsJooVoice asks what the other side will need. Your agent fills in what it knows and asks you only for the blanks. Anything private, you answer in JooVoice.
- 4
Price
accept_creditsCalls are paid in credits. Your agent shows you the price and gets your yes before anything is spent.
- 5
Your yes
approve_callIt reads you the recap and asks again. A yes to the price is not a yes to the call. Or you approve on JooVoice.
- 6
The call
wait_for_taskJooVoice calls, in the right language, and your agent follows along. When it ends, it tells you what happened.
Personal calls, like a birthday call to your mum, work a little differently: your agent gets a Start link for you to send, and they press Start when it suits them.
What your agent gets back
- Whether it worked, and a short summary
- The key facts: times, names, confirmation numbers
- How the call ended and what it cost
What stays with you in JooVoice
- The recording, to replay any time
- The full transcript
- Your cards, plan and settings
Tools
Everything it can ask for.
Your agent sees these tools once it is connected. Each reply tells it what happened, a line to pass on to you, and exactly what to do next.
- Reads
- Acts
- Needs your yes
Your account
check_accountReads- Start here: setup, credits, this connection’s monthly limit, and the name and number used for calls.
wait_for_setupReads- Waits while you finish setting up in JooVoice.
start_welcome_callNeeds your yes- Starts your welcome call to your own verified phone.
get_billingReads- Reads the current credit offers and your saved payment methods, masked.
get_payment_linkNeeds your yes- Makes a link to pay for a monthly plan, for you or someone paying for you. It spends nothing.
get_guideReads- Explains how something works: questions, prices, timing, results, personal calls.
Setting up a call
prepare_taskActs- Starts one call request, with or without a number.
answer_questionsActs- Answers JooVoice’s current questions. It never guesses.
set_recipientActs- Gives the number you supplied for who to call.
revise_taskActs- Changes the request or who to call.
accept_creditsNeeds your yes- Accepts the price shown, from credits you already have.
refresh_quoteActs- Gets a current price when the last one expired.
approve_callNeeds your yes- Approves the call after your fresh yes to the recap.
get_recipient_linkReads- Gets a personal call’s Start link and a message to send with it.
During and after
get_taskReads- Reads one call at its current step: questions, price, recap, progress or result.
wait_for_taskReads- Waits for a call to change, then returns the new step.
list_tasksReads- Lists your calls: needing attention, live, upcoming, recent or archived.
find_taskReads- Finds a call it started, after a lost reply or a reconnect.
retry_callNeeds your yes- Tries a business call again, now or at a set time.
end_callActs- Asks for a live call to stop.
close_taskActs- Closes a call you no longer need.
approve_call and retry_call are there only when you let your agent approve calls in your chat. Otherwise your agent sends you the review link.
Rules
What your agent won’t do.
- Buy credits, add cards or change your plan and settings. Only you do that, in JooVoice.
- Ask you for passwords or texted codes in the chat. You type codes into JooVoice.
- Approve a call without your fresh yes. Standing instructions don’t count.
- Impersonate you, or pass an identity or voice check as you.
- Cold calling, unsolicited sales or abusive requests.
- Answer incoming calls or act as a receptionist. Not yet.
- Forward your results anywhere you haven’t asked for.

Every reply has the same shape
{
"status": "requires_user_action",
"meaning": "What happened, for the agent.",
"sayToOwner": "One line to pass on to the person.",
"next": [
{ "tool": "get_task", "arguments": { "taskId": "…" } }
]
} Follow next rather than guessing. Actions also say whether JooVoice accepted them. Errors are written in words, and say whether anything was saved: monthly limit reached, not enough credits, price expired, questions changed, connection ended, and so on.
